Recently, Akustika Chamber Singers and Akustika Male Choir were awarded 5 GOLD medals at the World Choir Games, Tshwane 2018. ACS was crowned the "Champion of the World Choir Games" for the Category: "Musica sacra a cappella". Akustika now holds the record for participating in the most categories at one event.

Awarded the Pavarotti trophy as well as the title “Choir of the World” at the annual Llangollen International Music Eisteddfod, Wales, UK.
Awarded the grand prize as overall winners of the Concorso Chorale Internazionale Riva del Garda competition, Italy.
Awarded the Publikum prize at the competition in Spittal an der Drau International Choral Competition, Austria.
Globally ranked 2nd on the Interkultur world-rankings for mixed choirs.
Invited as solo artists at the prestigious Classic FM Soiree hosted by the Classic FM radio station, Johannesburg.
